Who We Are

We’re not a typical league and we were never meant to be.

The New England Deaf Softball Organization (NEDSO) exists to bring Deaf players, CODAs, SODAs, and supporters together the old-school way: on dirt, with bats, gloves, and heart.

We’re here for the ones who were overlooked.

For the ones who never had a league that truly saw them.

For the players who were told to wait, adjust, or accept less.

This isn’t about trophies or fame.

It’s about pride.

It’s about legacy.

This isn’t just softball.

It’s Deaf softball. And we brought it back.

Our Mission

To unite, empower, and celebrate the Deaf community through the game that brings us together: softball.

We do it by:

Creating real opportunities on and off the field for Deaf players, CODAs, SODAs, and allies to compete, connect, and belong.

Promoting teamwork, toughness, and pride the kind that runs deeper than stats.

Honoring the culture, identity, and legacy of Deaf athletes across New England and building something future generations will be proud of.

Because this isn’t just about sports.

It’s about bringing back what was ours and making it stronger.

What We Do

NEDSO brings Deaf softball back to life through regional round-robin tournaments, high-stakes Commissioner’s Challenge matchups, and a one-of-a-kind postseason finale known as The Gauntlet where survival, not just skill, crowns the champion.
